In class this week we have been using Makey makey.

In my group we played the stepping piano, whack a mole, Mario and much much more.

I like how you just plug it in and you can do anything there's no limits.

Overall it was very entertaining and creative.

Week 9 Term 4

High School Pool

On Monday Wednesday and Friday Hillary went swimming in the High school pool.
On Wednesday we where there for the whole middle block.
This a haiku about it

swam, dived, manued, played, bombed, splashed, changed
and also sun bathed too

Week 8 Term 4

This week I have been sick for two days. I felt norsious and vomited afew times. 
On Tuesday we played a coprative game called the magic coat.
This is how you play
Rules
Only the person wearing the coat may enter the red zone.
The aim of the game is to get your team mates to the other side without them toucing the ground in the red zone.
If you touch the ground in the red area you have to start again.
 The first team to get there whole team across the red zone wins

Filming our Inquiry

Lately we have been filming our inquiry about hunting. We did some research and surveyed the class the results showed that 76% of the class dislike hunt and 24% like hunting.

Our movie

We have planned a movie based on Sustainability. It is about the pros and cons of hunting. There is a message in our movie it is about taken more then needed. There are two hunters that go for a hunt for native species and kill alot of the animals need to keep the bush lush. The bush then turns overgrown in some parts and dead in some parts.
Liam is a wild pig, Ryan is a hunter, Luke is a tui and I am a hunter.
We are filming this at school and using some props.
Sustainability means to keep a cycle and taking care of the enviroment.

Got Talent

Ryan and I have desided to enter the School talent show. We will but flip a gatorade bottle at the same time and the will both land. This weekend Ryan and I will be able to meet at my house and practice. I think we have a pretty good chance at doing well because someone eles has done it and everone went mental.
Also Gatorade bottle have an extremely high perentge of landing so we should succeed.

We did some more soldering practice here was my first attempt.

First post this Term

This week I learnt the techique of long jump my best jump was 4.10cm
Last week we did high jump I got 125cm. We also did sprinys I got 13.49 in 100m, 27.23 in 200m and 1 minute 7 seconds  in 400m
In maths we have been learning about three dementional shapes like cubes and pyrimads.
We are now learning about angle and using protractors.

Electronics

I need a torch in my Emergency Kit. I'm going to learn about simple circuts and use the Tech Process to design and make one for my bed room.    
  

       

On Monday and Tuesday for P.E we did high jump I cleard 1.22meters but we didn't go any higher. But it was enough to qualify.
The bad part of this week was people calling me Jackulator and I don't like it.

This week room 3 has been learning about means ,modes, rangers and medians. I knew all of these but the Range let me explain it to you.

So if we had the numbers 6 9 3 5 8 9 2 you select the highest number and the lowest number in this case 

9 & 2. You have to calculate the distance between the two numbers this equales 7.

Yesterday Twenty Sixth Of July 2016  

A moderate earthquake struck Hawkes Bay New Zealand. It lied 15 kilometers east of Waipukurau and 31 kilometers down.

The time it hit was 8:09 at night. It was followed with a small aftershock around 11 o’clock at night. But this was just as light as a feather because it was a light earthquake near Eketahuna so it only just effected us. The Hawkes bay one was magnitude 4.3

MY WEEK

This week we have been learning about Matariki. Matariki marks the maori new year and a day to plant there crops for winter.
To celebrate this it's traditional to play games and fly kites. They round this all of with a big filling ki from the hangi pit. They usually plant under ground crops to escape the frost. These are plants like patato kumara and carrot.

WEEK 3

This Week has been a blast my highlight was either the Gisborne cross country rely or the Hawkes Bay super six. It's so had to pick from the two because we got placings in both of them. Our team for the rely was Adam Chris Dave and me i was the only year seven I was really speedy that day. 

On wednesday I traveled to park island for super six we took out the boys event but Taradale won altogether.

This week I have learnt to shrink  object by decimals. 
I have shown an interest in sumdog. My favourite game is football on it you unswer the question a and swipe towards the goal each goal you get adds to your score.
This week I disided to take part in a cross country event held at anderson park our trials where yesterday. I got first year seven.
Today I have my football trils wish me luck.

What I have learnt 
I have learnt how to enlarge technical objects such as dinosaurs.
I also learnt how use my money wisely so I don't pay more money than I have to. Another thing that I learn't is how to tell if a website is a troll or if it's legit the some really funny because they were oviously a troll. somthing elsae is if it has govt at the end it can be trusted also the first link that pops up is the most trusted.

What I Learnt This Week

This week I learnt a new game called Ki o rahi. There are two teams called Kīoma and Taniwha. It is split into three different  grids which I can't really remember thier names but there is an object in the middle circle thats the defending teams target they have to hit. The attacker or Kioma have to pass to the middle grid then back to the outside grid the attackers have a oppitunity to touch the PO with the ball if you get touched it's a turn over. This weeks highlight is defenatly the full field game of capture the rugby ball. When they called out that it was room 4 and 6 against 2 and 3. The reason I was exited was that Charlie Ben and I could run up together and out pace people.

My Weekend In Wellington

MY WEEKEND IN WELLINGTON

In the long easter weekend my family and I drove down to the capital Wellington.
We had a slow start to the morning and set of from our house at 8:45 It felt like it spent like ages in the car but actually was only 4 hours.
We were staying in Mecure hotel Wellington on Terrace Road not far away from Cuba street our source of dinner.
Once we arrived at the hotel we checked in and grabbed our card to unlock doors elevators and our room. Once we were finished the boring work we all piled into the car and drove down a VERY STEEP curve down to the carpark, and it turned out our card didn't work then we got stall at we started rolling down the hill. Gradually the old Nissan Sony started bunting up the hill. We went to get another card parked the car and strolled up to our room. When we reached our room we straight away ran to the amazing view we were on the 6th floor facing the city.
The next day we walked to Te Papa to see Gallipoli and Diseny exebitions. 24 hours later we went to the zoo.

 

THIS WEEKS REFLECTION

This week at HNI has been gr8 m8 I have enjoyed my after school activities like Reps and open grade football trials but my favourite part at school has been the P.E rotations. My favourite rotation was the four goal soccer. Also I am now really hooked into banquer and I am getting some baking ready to sell. Well, just to wrap it up, it has been a great week and I have enjoyed it lots.

WEEK 6

This has been a great week I  have had swimming Hawkes Bay champs and I can't lie I really liked the half days due to interviews.   I also think Liam and I have worked really well hard and have showed paciants and percivierance to finish our quiling.

WEEK 5 HAS BEEN A BLAST

I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THIS WEEK AT HNI. SOME OF MY HIGHLIGHTS HAVE BEEN PLAYING CAPTURE THE FLAG AND AND I'M REALLY HAPPY ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF MY HOMEWORK.
ONE OF THE THE MOMENTS I WILL BE HAPPY TO FORGET WOULD PROBABLY BE BANQUE BECAUSE EVERYBODY IS SUING RYAN AND I FOR SELLING THEM STUFF SUCH AS A COOL FETHER PENCEIL.
JOSIE CLAMED THAT SHE THOUGHT IT WAS A PEN WE CLEARLY SAID IT WAS A PENCIL AND THERE WHERE NO REFUNDS NO REFUNDS.
ALSO WE NOW HAVE TO PAY $200 TO JOSIE AND NIKORA 10 TO AMBER AND SOME TO RAIKIAROA AND MANY MOR PEOPLE.

Term 1 Week 4
I have had a fantastic 4 days at HNI. I smell a great year here.
I have got involved in the Haka at assembly on fridays and signed up for canoe polo which I did last year. Canoe polo is one my favourite sports because I can throw really well in a canoe so I have the ability to pass and shot from far out. 
I have also really enjoyed quiling and I'm not really a fan of art.

WEEK 3 TERM 1

Alphebetical Aerobics
 I am enjoying this week at HNI one of my highlight is the alphabetical aerobics. I also enjoyed my first saxaphone lesson. But I'm disapointed I missed out on P.E. I have also made new friends like Luke and have become closer to my friends.

                                           MY FIRST POST

My first couple of weeks at HNI have been great I have relly enjoyed P.E and lunch time sport. Well I like all the subjects really. I think I am very lucky to have a Mrs August because she is sporty, patient and really really nice.
